I can't sync my ipod Touch

After completing an iTunes update last night, I can no longer sync my iPod Touch (6th Generation). It's as if my computer doesn't read it any longer via USB. I've tried restarting my iPod and my computer. Both have the latest updates. I've tried every USB port and nothing works. I bought music online last night and now I can't even get it onto my iPod to enjoy this weekend! Any advice? Thank you!

First:

iTunes: Fix iPhone or iPod Not Detected in Windows 10

next try

Apple Mobile Device USB Driver Missing

last

iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows

- I would start with

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP

or

Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later

- New cable and different USB port

Also see:
