Heavy object placed on MacBook

I bought a MacBook Pro 13 inch retina last weekend was traveling on a

oone haul flight with it today. It was closed and in my jansport backpack without a sleeve. the flight attendent placed a heavy around (5kg) bag right on top of my bag with the MacBook. I removed my computer about a. minute later. It seems to work fine but I'm worried about the damage by placing such a heavy object on it. Especially to the Retina display which issupposedto be fragile?

does anyone have siMiller experiences to this ?
