I have an older (2006) iMac on OS 10.6 and a Macbook Pro (2011) on OS 10.11.4. I'm using Safari-- my wi-fi internet connection is working fine. On the Macbook Pro, websites are a little slow, but are opening-- on the older iMac-- some websites are opening, but terribly slow-- and some not at all! Any solutions? This has only happened in the past couple of days.

The version of Safari included in Snow Leopard is much too old for the security features of most modern websites. You could try installing Firefox.

Apple hasn't provided security updates for v10.6 Snow Leopard in years.
Yes, I downloaded Firefox already-- and it works. Strange how Safari worked fine up until a couple of days ago!
