On My Mac Mailbox

Hey! I just created a new mailbox in mail which is located on my mac and I have been searching for the folder in which emails are stored? Does Anyone know its location?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

Why are you looking for it?

If you want to access the messages from the Finder, it is much better to use File -> Save As... to save them to regular folder.

I want to have the opportunity to send them to an external hard disk later on... What's my best option in this case?

Assuming that you want to access them without using Mail... yes.
