Q: Just installed the update to IMovie 10.1.2 and keeps crashing upon opening HELP

I have the same problem, but also I lost my themes. I was use CNN iReport theme for my video and after I updated my iMovie to 10.1.2, the theme disappeared! Why updates created problems? What happened Apple?

I have the same issue. I can't get it to stay open. Hard to use a program when it won't stay open!

Same here. Program crashes, no themes, no more than 3-5 seconds opened… It’s hard this way! Disappointed

It just started doing it. Whenever I open my project and go to the end it crashes... 5 times in a row now - plssss fix this Apple

i've lost all my Themes. i called apple support but they where no help at all. this is driving me crazy.

I have the same problem. I am running 10.11.6 on my iMac on which I have 8gb of memory (RAM) and plenty of storage. As soon as I upgraded to the latest version of iMovie 10.1.2 it crashes constantly, sometimes immediately but usually when I am half way through making and editing a movie. The old iMovie 8.0.6 worked so much better and was a superior and more intuitive product. Can anyone help?
