CAUTION 'Apple ID Deactivated'

I have received a text headlined CAUTION and saying that my Apple ID has been deactivated.

It wants me to go to ...warningapple.com to 'prevent permanent termination'.

I assumed it was spam and logged in the normal way to find no messages from Apple saying there was a problem with my account.

'Caution' is indeed required.

1 Posting this as a warning to others. But I would guess it is not a new problem.

2 I am used to getting spam emails and avoiding them - any way of defending against / blocking spam texts?
