Boot Camp disk cannot be partitioned error

I have an iMac (Retina 5k, 27-inch, Late 2015) with a 3.3 GHz Intel Core i5 processor and a 2.12 TB Fusion Drive. The Fusion Drive shows as disk 2, File System is Journaled HFS+. (Disk1s2 shows as Apple SSD SMO128G Media). I am trying to use Boot Camp to install Windows 8.1, 64 bit. I have the ISO file, which I downloaded from the Microsoft site. I have placed it on a DVD drive, as well as an external USB hard drive. When I run Boot Camp, It downloads the support files and then goes to the creating partition message. A few moments later, it stops with the message "Disk cannot be partitioned."

Any suggestions on what I might be able to try to troubleshoot this issue would be appreciated. Thanks....

iMac with Retina 5K display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

Can you post the output of the following Terminal commands?

diskutil list

diskutil cs list

sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0

sudo fdisk /dev/disk0

sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk1

sudo fdisk /dev/disk1

The "sudo" commands will prompt for your password, and it will not be echoed back. You may also see a warning about improper use of "sudo" and potential data loss due to "abuse" of the command.

1. Copy the ISO to the Mac's Documents folder. Unmount the ISO if it gets automatically mounted.

2. Disconnect all external storage.

3. Run SMC/NVRAM Reset.

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

4. Boot into Internet Recovery and run diskutil repairDisk disk0 .

5. Run BC Assistant, and point to the ISO in Documents folder, when prompted. Partition your internal drive.

6. Once the Windows installer starts, disconnect any network cables, and connect them only after Windows is fully installed and you have a created a Windows System Restore point.

7. Please report any issues.

Hi, nothing has been attached to the Mac, but just to be sure, I ran it again just now and got below in the log. The only thing attached to the Mac is the network cable and a sound out cable. My Passport is not attached and I don't see it listed in Finder at all.

Thanks.

I decided to pursue a different avenue and installed the free version of VirtualBox from Oracle and then installed Windows in the virtual machine. My past experience with virtual machines was not great, as the guest operating system was pretty sluggish. So far, however, after installing the VirtualBox Guest Additions (adds specific drivers for the version of Windows which fixed a mouse performance issue) after the Windows install, it is running pretty well. So I can work in Windows when I have a specific need and don't have to reboot to do so. Just an idea if anyone else is hitting the Boot Camp Assistance issues like I was.
