iPad 4 Stuck In DFU Mode!!!

I put my iPad down for a few minutes and the screen went off, at first I thought it just fell asleep... but when i couldn't enter i tried to turn it back on, and it was unresponsive, i thought the iPad had died... but when i plugged it into my computer iTunes turned on and said "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be sued with iTunes." which i was fine with so i clicked restore, but it would be stuck on "preparing iPad for restore" or the iPad would disconnect. I searched online and tried multiple solutions on how to wake it up, it would disconnect as if it turned off then turns back on in DFU mode again!!! I would really like to fix the iPad! Is there a way of turning it back on instead of iTunes?
