My iPad Air (First Generation) Closes all tabs on Safari when I press cmd w on my iPad keyboard

I have a Zagg Rugged Folio Keyboard for my iPad Air (First Generation, 32 GB, Wifi Only). This happened after I updated to iOS 9.3.1 from iOS 8.3. It closes all my tabs and Safari glitches so I can't tap anything and it gets stuck on the new tab page. The only way to reuse it is to reset the iPad. Then, I can't reopen my recently closed tabs.
