Final Cut Pro Trial stuck on "Verifying"

Hi guys,

I recently downloaded Final Cut Pro off of Apple's website as a trial. After downloading it, I double clicked the app icon, but it's been stuck on "Verifying" for the last hour without the progress bar loading. I've attached a picture below. I've tried rebooting, shutting down, you know, the simple stuff. But that's all I've done. Feel free to ask me questions.

I'm running on OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 (latest), on a MacBook Pro Retina (late 2014). I downloaded the trail version last night (April 29, 2016).

I had the same problem, so first I had to do this: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT203127 and then I had to connect my laptop to my cell phone's data (personal hotspot). I think the problem was either my slow wifi speed or that the verification site may have been blocked by something.

Ok, I've solved my own problem.

I had to go into System Preferences > Security & Privacy > then turn Allow from Everywhere at the bottom. I restarted my Mac and, voila! It started installing.
