How do I move a slideshow from my projects in the photo album and share it on OS X?

I've created a beautiful slideshow using my projects in the Photo App. I want to share this either by exporting to email or to Youtube. I can't seem to save it to my finder. I seem to be able to save the individual pics like that, but not the slideshow. I've worked days on this project, and I don't want to lose it. Please help.

iMac with Retina 5K display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

Export the slide show as a QT movie (file menu ==> export) and share that

From Photos Help - a great place to get help on using Photos

Create and work with slideshows

You can use a group of photos to create a slideshow, then add text, choose a theme, add music, and set how long each slide appears. You can also include video clips in a slideshow, and export the slideshow to play on a Mac, iOS device, or Apple TV.

User uploaded file

Note: You can quickly view a group of photos as a slideshow without creating a slideshow project. For more information, see View photos. For information about sharing a slideshow, see Export photos, videos, and slideshows.

and of course I have already answered how to export a slideshow

Export the slide show as a QT movie (file menu ==> export) and share that

From the Photos help file again (still a good place to get help with Photos)

I suggest you open it and read it

Create a slideshow project

  1. Select the photos you want in your slideshow. You can add or remove photos later (see “Add or remove photos and text,” below).
  2. Click + in the toolbar and choose Slideshow.
  3. Click the Slideshow pop-up menu and choose New Slideshow.
  4. Type a slideshow name in the Slideshow Name field, then click OK.
  5. To reorder photos, drag photos into the order you want them in the bottom of the window.
  6. To select a theme, click the Themes button User uploaded file, then click a theme. You can change the theme at any time. The theme you choose determines the text position, fonts, and the transitions that appear between slides. The pan and zoom effect, also known as the Ken Burns effect, is available only for the Ken Burns theme.
  7. To select music for the slideshow, click the Music button User uploaded file, click the down arrow next to Music Picker, then select a song or songs.Choose Theme Songs from the pop-up menu to see music included with Photos, or choose iTunes to see music from your iTunes library. Drag the songs you selected to change the order they play in. To delete a song, select it and press Delete.
  8. To change how long each slide appears, click the Duration button User uploaded file, then do any of the following (not all options are available for all themes):
    • Set the slideshow to match the length of the selected music: Select Fit to Music.
    • Set a specific display time for the slideshow: Select Custom, then drag the slider to specify how long the slideshow should play.
    • Set a transition for the entire slideshow: Select the Transition checkbox, then choose a transition type from the pop-up menu.
    • Set slides to fit the screen: Select the “Scale photos to fit screen” checkbox.
  9. To see a preview of the slideshow, click the Preview button. Click Preview again to stop the preview. You can also set the slideshow to loop continuously by clicking the Loop button User uploaded file.
  10. To play the slideshow, click the Play button User uploaded file.

To stop playing a slideshow, press the Escape key. You can also press the arrow keys to skip forward or back through the slides, and press the Space bar to pause the slideshow.

I did all that. I had to call Apple support because the sidebar menu isn't available when you are working in projects. I didn't realize that I had no sidebars so couldn't export anything. Also the menu bar is missing when working in projects. The apple person couldn't help me with that since the menu bar won't stay up while working in projects. She suggested click plus control to make the menu bar stay up but that didn't work. She was at a loss.

How do I move a slideshow from my projects in the photo album and share it on OS X?
