hello,
i am not able to put in my pass code to unlock my phone. I know what my passcode is, and have not locked myself out of my phone.
THe problem is the device, when it is locked i am able to swipe right and the keypad comes up for my passcode. It is unresponsive at this point, and i am unable to unlock my phone.

Try a reset of the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The device should reboot. See if it responds after that.

I Was able to power it off, and power it back up..
THat fixed it in the mean time..
Im not crazy, there was definately something happening there that was not iser error.
