how do I wirelessly back up my macbook air with time capsule

I purchased a time capsule to use as a router and a wireless hard drive for backing up data on my iPhone, MacBook Air, etc. I have renamed the original time capsule name to our wifi name.

When I go into Time Machine to select the time capsule it is not showing up and it says no base stations found.

How do I wirelessly back up date to the time capsule from my MacBook Air, iPhone, etc.?

Reset the TC to factory and start again.. Do not use the same wireless name as your existing router.. it should be plugged in by ethernet and setup in bridge mode and create a wireless network which has a different name to the main router..

Now you can connect to the TC and setup to do backup from your MBA..

iphone do not backup to TC.
