Connecting to brand new but years old airport extreme

I have a 2007 airport extreme, new out of the box. My airport utility v6.3.2 says the extreme needs at least firmware 7.3.1 to talk to it. How am I supposed to get the new firmware onto the airport?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2009), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Use....or borrow for 10 minutes.....a Mac running a 5.x version of AirPort Utility found in Leopard (10.5.x) or Snow Leopard (10.6.x), or a PC with AirPort Utility for Windows installed on the computer.

If you have an Apple Store or Apple Servicer near you, they might have an older Mac on hand that would be able to update the firmware as well.

Update the AirPort Extreme to the current firmware of 7.6.4.

Then, AirPort Utility 6.3.2 will work just fine with the AirPort Extreme.
