You, likely, accidentally made it your homepage. You can change it Safari > Preferences > General > Homepage.

It's easier to make the change if you first navigate to the website you want to designate as your Homepage.

Apps you purchased would be in your Applications folder.

Apps in iTunes are for iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch), and are downloaded from the App Store. As pinkstones says, when you download them, they will be in the Applications folder.

Did you buy them in iTunes when logged into the computer or did you buy them on a device? If you bought them on a device, go to the iTunes store on the computer and download them there.

Would you make a screen shot so people can see what you are seeing when looking at the apps? Make sure you cover any personal information using Preview. Post the screen shot in a Reply using the camera icon or you can drag the screen shot into a reply. Copy and paste doesn't work.
