Q: Aperture trash contains some files but they cannot be displayed

Aperture lists many items in Trash, but they cannot be displayed??

Aperture 3, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4), iMac

    Is the search field for the Trash cleared?  Does the search field show "All Items" or something different?

    If something different is showing in the search field, reset it.

    Check the "Rejected" album. If the photo has been rejected, it will not show in the trash, if the search field is set to show "Unrated or Better".
