i can't believe I've done this as usually so careful but I opened an e mail link from what I thought was a friend and it brought up lots of foreign writing. I'm terrified and feeling paranoid about doing anything on line. Any advise??

Just restart your computer, then delete the email without opening it.
Most likely nothing bad happened, but let us know if you're seeing strange behaviour.
THank's for reply. This was in my I phone not computer. within 2 hrs I logged into find my I phone and wiped the phone, then restarted and restored from back up on I cloud approx 36 hrs before. I then changed my e mail password
