When to use User Channel-strip Settings / Patches Instruments ?

Hi,

we have currently 2 ways to save an Instrument Channelstrip:

A.) Using the Righclick Menu :

User uploaded file

This results that the Setting is saves as User Channel-strip Setting here:

User uploaded file

It included the whole Channelstrip inclusing Instrument and Effects etc...

B.) Using the Library Save Button:

Either if you load a preset saved created with method A or B , the whole channelstrip wil be replaced.

If A would just replace the effects would be much more useful ?

So what is the purpose of the difference ?

Is that possible to save a Channel Strip Setting which just stores (and replace on load) the Effect and Dynamics ?
