If i reset my Macbook, will all files delete from iCloud aswell?

I am planning to reset my Macbook Air, erase all data and reinstall OS X.

I have most of my necessary folders on iCloud. I just dragged and dropped them there, on the left side in finder.

I am wondering, when I erase my hard drive, will all these folders disappear and be erased? Or can iCloud be used as an online storage as well, and still keep my files in the cloud?

MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014), OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)
