May 1, 2016 6:50 AM in response to Hymalayaby elcpu,Touch ID can be tricky at times. Moisture or debris can make it malfunction. I suggest cleaning the Home button gently and then re-entering several fingerprints again. If that does not help, it may be defective and you may have to take the phone to an Apple Store for evaluation.

That is a good way to clean it. If the issue persists I would have the Apple Store test it.
