removing cookies, cache

If I remove cookies, cache from my Macbook Air that does not removed my saved/stored user IDs and Passwords does it? as I understand it that just cleans up the "garbage" that pops up on your screen based on previous searches you have done. Is that correct? dlh

Generally, cleaning caches isn't recommended because it is counter productive. Your Mac uses cache to speed up operations, when you delete caches it slows down your Mac, at least in the short term. That said, it will not affect your Apple ID or PWs.

And do not use a cleaning utility like CleanMyMac or others, they are dangerous.
