My wireless keyboard will not connect my Mac. I change the batteries and hit the power button. The green light will come on for sure. Then shut off again come on again and then shut off permanently. Help

My wireless keyboard will not pair with my Mac. I change the batteries press the power button and the green light will come on for sure. Then shut off green light comes on again then shuts off permanently. I don't understand how to fix this problem

Wireless keyboard -OTHER, iOS 9.3.1
