Cause of problem I'm trying to purchase music to run with that doesn't change the beat.

Figure out what value of Beats Per Minute (BPM) you need in order to keep your desired pace. The buy your music accordingly.
You will have to purchase at an online music store that lists the BPM of the music it sells. Check out Juno Download.
