We have a iPod Special Addition U2 that has over 2,400 songs that were meticulously transferred from our vinyl collections. There is over 19.7 GB free. We are trying to move the songs off this iPod to a new nano. How do we transfer our music library from the old iPod to the new nano? Thank you.
It needs to go through iTunes. You cannot transfer songs directly from one iPod to another iPod. Are those important song files stored on your computer, and in your current iTunes library? Hopefully yes, or you have a backup of the song files. If so, you just sync the same songs that are currently on the old iPod from your iTunes library to the new iPod. You can post back if you need help setting up syncing with your new iPod.
If those songs are NOT in your current iTunes library, and you don't have a backup (meaning they only exist on your old iPod's hard drive), please post back with any additional info... (including if you use a Mac or Windows PC).
