Went through the steps, they were easy to follow, but when I double clicked on the shortcut i received the same response.

Weird, I've installed iTunes on Windows 10 without any problems. 😕
I assume you picked the correct 32 or 64-bit download for your system.

Yes, I used the 64. this is a pretty new computer, I am wondering if the security is not allowing. It came with the McAfee.
See note 1 of the user tip. Try the Microsoft installer tool and see if it can install iTunes for you.

You could also see if the next most recent version of iTunes will install rather than the current one, or try the steps in Install missing components to install each component of iTunes individually.

Thanks for your help. I finally got back to working on this, downloaded again, and it worked. I also changed my security. so that was probably what the problem was. again thanks.
