I'm trying to install a Windows VM on a Mac Pro, either with BootCamp or VMware fusion or both. Can I do the same thing-a virtual machine running IOS-on the Mac?

If you install xcode you get an ios emulator
So I download the GM_Seed, install it, and I can use ios, even though I'm not a developer or programmer? I just want to be able to use some ios apps on the Mac.
The iOS Simulator is not a full copy of iOS and does not have an App Store, so you could not download apps to it. You could only run apps compiled in Xcode, which you probably wouldn't be doing if you are not a developer.
You would probably be best off investing in an iPod touch, which is the cheapest iOS device.
Thanks for the horrible truth. Looks like my idea may not work. What I'm trying to do is use ios on my desktop Mac to take advantage of some of the apps Adobe has developed for the iPad Pro, mainly. Without spending for an iPad Pro.
Ah, got it. Unfortunately, there would be legal implications as well - Apple does not allow their operating systems to be run in virtual machines (older OS X Server versions can be, but not the standard version, and iOS cannot be run in a virtual machine at all).
