What kind of ram can I put into my Macbook Pro??

I want to upgrade my ram but I have no clue what to buy. I cannot afford the kind that apple sells and I was wondering what other kind works. If so could you please leave a link. Thanks Preston

The RAM in a retina MacBook Pro is soldered to the motherboard and not upgradable.
