Cant sync my iPod touch

I recently got a new computer with windows 10. Just plugged my iPod touch in to check for updates etc. iTunes doesn't recognize my device and I cant sync. Already tried restarting everything. I even uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes

iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows

- I would start with

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP

or

Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later

- New cable and different USB port
