I decided not to purchase ITunes Match. How do I disengage it?

See View, change, or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support.

You can turn if off from iTunes > Preferences > iCloud Music Library.

You've probably paid for the current year already. If you bought it in the last few days and haven't used it to upgraded past DRM purchases you might be able to ask for a refund, though in principle iTunes sales are final.
