Q: Can I use a new iMac as a display for my Mac Pro?

I have a Mac Pro and I can really use a second display. I was wondering if I could connect it to my Mac Pro and use it as a monitor?

If yes, would it also possible to be rendering video jobs on the iMac while using it as a monitor connected to the Mac Pro simultaneously? Would it be a pain to switch between the two constantly?
