App shows 6 apps to update, can not, only "open" app option listed

Force restart your iPhone then try updating your apps.

Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings then try updating your apps.

If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings then try again.

Go into settings - notifications - turn off notifications for App store

Try to force restart the iPhone after shutting down all open apps using the app switcher

I've been having this too. The only way I have been able to fix it is by quickly hitting the update all button right when you open the App Store. The button pops up for like half a second. Sometimes it takes a couple tries, but this is a recurring issue on my phone.
