iPhone5 issues. When I tap an icon to open an app it tries to open and goes back to home screen. Happens with several apps.

Using the app switcher - shut down any open apps
Then force restart the phone - there is no data loss
Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons down together till you see logo - then release and allow normal boot up
