Q: Photos don't load on my Mac - OS X El Capitan

I conect my iPhone 6 to my MacBook Air to import some photos, but they don't load and I can't see the ones that want to import. I wait for a while but nothing happens, what could be wrong?

Thanks for any advice!!

MacBook Air (13-inch Late 2010), OS X El Capitan (10.11.4), null

    Hello afaraque,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand from your post that you're trying to import photos from your iPhone to your Mac, and you're not seeing any of the photos to import.  Photos recognizes the photos that you've already imported and are stored in the Photos library, in order to avoid importing duplicates.  Have you either imported these photos before or do you use My PhotoStream or iCloud Photo Library?  Each of these would import the photo into your library.  If not, then I'd like you to see if your photos appear in another application, Image Capture.

Import images from your camera using Image Capture

You can also use Image Capture to copy images from your camera to your Mac.

    Image capture

Image Capture is included in the Applications folder in OS X. Use these steps to import your images using Image Capture:

    Take care.

    Hi Joe,

This is what I've got when I connect my phone to my PC, after a while, nothing happens

When I used iPhoto, all my pictures loaded in matters of seconds...

    Hi Joe,

I think I didn't mention, but I was using Photos to load the pictures and now I just used iPhoto again and it perfectly worked

I think there should be a problem with Photos
