Swipe editing not working for grouped tracks

I am near the end of a project that I have spent countless hours on, and all of a sudden Swipe Editing no longer works for two grouped tracks (i.e., two mics on a guitar cabinet). I think it happened after I editing one of the tracks in the sample editor. That is, I edited a small portion of one track in the sample editor, and then decided to just re-record the measures instead of editing the other track. Once I re-recorded, I went to swipe edit and it no longer worked. PLEASE HELP!!
