how do I stop iMovie 10 from freezing so often when I'm editing?

When I am editing a video, iMovie regularly freezes, so I have to force quit and start over. [I don't actually lose work, but it's a nuisance starting over so often.]

I'm talking about freezing every 15-20 minutes of editing, so in a 90-min tape, that's at least 6 times!

Hello Pollyfromvt,
I understand that you are having an issue with iMovie is crashing on you while working. Let's see if we can get it sorted out.
I would start with creating a new library and if possible recreate the project. One thing it could be is one of the video's that you have that might be causing issues. If you create a new library, this might help isolate that. Take a look at the article below to walk you through how to do that.

Let me know if this helps.
