iCloud ID expiry

I have had a text message saying my iCloud ID has expired and will be deleted unless I confirm my account at http://icloudprivacy.co.uk. I did not know that an iCloud ID could expire so does anyone know if the text is genuine or is it a fishing trip?

I know a couple of other people who have had the same text but they have to confirm their accounts to slightly different web addresses.

I have tried contacting Apple Support but it does not seem to be available at present.
