Q: Photos won't permanently delete
HI all, I'm a photographer using Photos that is synced via iCloud between a Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
I have tried several times to delete and organize old photos (dating back to early 2000s) in Photos on my Mac. Every time I do this, they re download as low res thumbnails from iCloud into the moments library. Even when the originals are still sitting in the recently deleted folder. I've lost several days work organizing and weeding old photos by having it all reappear and reset changes I've made.
I have turned off sharing and My Photo Stream on all devices but nothing is working. I've turned off iCloud on devices and restarted two times. How can I organize photos and edit on my Mac without having everything reappear on my Mac? Or is the dream of having a fully synced photos library on all devices just truly impossible?
i appreciate any help someone can provide.
