Profile Manager Questions

Hi, I am new to OS X Server, I setup a mac server and got it running for my school. I am using Profile Manager to manage our iPads, roughly 350 devices.

My question is, if anyone knows why PM tends to do updates on a daily basis, well it seems like a daily basis. Apps that are installed reload and reinstall during a update. Is this normal? or is this something we can adjust in PM or in the Server app?

It is frustrating when students are using an app and it is grayed out and Loading. Especially Lexia app which is 965 MB in size and takes over an hour to finish.

Thank you for any information regarding this. I have put in a request through Apple Feedback site for a scheduled time to do updates.
