Sync using two ID's

I have been syncing with my current ID on my iphone and iPad. I just purchased an ipad mini 2 for my wife. I set it up with her apple ID and password. When I connect & log in with her ID and password nothing happens. All I get is the message to connect to my PC. I do but nothing happens. I can't sync it or do anything. Any suggestions. It would be simple if I could set up a second iTunes but I don't think I can do that on a single PC. Any help.!!! I am using WIndows 10.
