How to speed up "drop" of "drag and drop"

I just had my Macbook Pro serviced by an Apple Store. I have noticed that the "drop" part of "drag and drop" seems slower. Is there a way to make it drop faster? The dragging speed is just fine. Thanks.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Open Activity Monitor and click on the CPU tab. Mac sure that under View All Processes is selected.

When dragging not what is using CPU?

Also, why was the Mac serviced?

Thank you. I did open Activity Monitor but don't know what you mean by this question above: " When dragging not what is using CPU?"

4 GB of memory is marginal. More memory will make it somewhat faster.

Also, can you try another browser or close and then reopen FireFox?

Also, if you reboot and only open minimum number of apps and browser windows it is "fast" and gets slow the longer you play?

May 3, 2016 3:43 PM in response to lllaass

Hi,

I rebooted and opened only Firefox and it is still about the same. I guess what is odd is that before the repair, I don't remember it being a problem. I will look into buying more RAM though don't use my Mac for all that much, apart from Internet and Photos. Anyhow, it is not the end of the world. Thanks for trying to help.

You can try:

- Try resetting the SMC and NVRAM/PRAM

- Try starting in Safe Mode
