When playing music on my iPad, when I push play it automatically reverts to pause. Therefore I am unable to play any songs. This problem only began a short while ago. It worked fine before that. I should mention that I switched recently to iTunes match.

I understand you're trying to play music from your iCloud Music Library however it is not playing. Are you trying to stream the music or have you downloaded it to your iPad? Streaming music requires an active network connection, so please make sure your iPad is connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data.
