How do I get Ghostery extension to iPad Safari

I have downloaded Ghostery on my iPad and it is merely a separate browser, not Safari. Worse, it lacks the controls that Ghostery has in Windows, where it is possible to set global controls for beacons, cookies, etc.. These controls are entirely missing in the Ghostery browser, which seems only to offer a view of those trackers which happen to be on the page that is currently loaded in the browser. My main concern is to be able to do what I can do in Windows: block classes of tracker globally.

Has anyone worked out how to do this in Ghostery? Or is there some way (which I have not found) of downloading a plugin for Safari which enables such global control?

Thanks for any help.

iPad, iOS 9.3.1
