My media won't show on whatsapp

hey guys,

i upgraded my phone from a 5S to a 6S in October. Now naturally I transferred all my apps over etc, but one thing hasn't worked. My whatsapp media files from previous history will not show?! The images are just showing up as question marks which is really annoying me!

Does anyone know how I can get all these back as there are thousands between various conversations?
