T.C. Electronics Konnekt 8 Garage Band compatible?

Question

T.C. Electronics Konnekt 8 Garage Band compatible?

I just got the T.C. Electronics Audio Interface called Konnekt 8. It came with software for System 10.4 called "TC Near Control Panel". I am using a Powerbook G4 and Garageband 3.04. Does anyone know how I can use this with Garageband?

It came with Cubase LE, but it looks too complicated, so I would rather use Garageband.

I am pretty sure it is, but I haven't used it. Perhaps someone with more experience with it will help you soon. Hang in there.

After you launch garageband and get past the open existing/create new project window, go to preferences, select audio/midi, select your soundcard from drop down menu in the output/input menu.

I'm using Konnekt 8, and Garage Band (3) on my Macbook Pro, but can't seem to get any input signal. The volume control for the channels is disabled when selecting an audio input channel. (the soundcard settings are correct, i.e. Konnekt). Any ideas on how to get the signal thru to my computer? Thanks.

You need to post more info, we know it doesn't work, but we don't know anything about what you've done.

Set up the K8 for 16bit 44.1KHz in TC near and select the K8 in your Audio Midi Setup (utilities folder) or sound pref's for input and output.

Then select the K8 for input and output in the audio/midi pane in GB's pref's.
