10.1.2 detach audio trouble
Having trouble detaching audio from a video recording I took. Detach audio button remains in "grey" regardless of what steps I take. Any suggestions? Thanks so much <><

Hmmmm. Interesting.
Assuming you are using the latest version of iMovie, as a workaround you could try sharing out your clip as a file, and selecting audio-only in the sharing options box. Then import your shared audio back into your project. Mute the audio that's embedded in the clip. That essentially would give you a detached audio.
As a trouble shooting start, you might try creating a new project and importing your video clip into it to see if the problem replicates there.
