iMessage Copy and Paste problem

When using iMessage, when I select and copy a text that I want to send to someone else and then I paste in into the text box, the text that I had copied before that one, get pasted. I then have to erase that text, go back into the iMessage and recopy it and paste it again for it to appear. Is anyone else having this same issue?
