Will beta software void warranty?

I am curious if Beta software like iOS 9.3.2 Beta 3 would void warranty since I want to use a lot of features, even on a personal phone.

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 9.2.1, White Gold

If you register for the beta program and get an official link and profile from Apple it will be OK. If you get a pirated version you have a high probability of bricking your phone and losing all support from Apple, as well as the risk of getting an infected version with spyware.

Note also that Apple strongly recommends not installing beta software on your primary device. Remember that "beta" is short for "beta test," which means that it is known that there are bugs in it, and the purpose of releasing a beta is to get a wider audience finding those bugs. If there were no bugs in it, it wouldn't be a beta, it would be a GA release.

You can read Apple's Beta faq here. I suggest you do so carefully, since it does involve accepting and being bound by a confidentiality agreement when you do so.

Will installing public beta software from the Apple Beta Software Program void my hardware warranty?

No, installing the public beta software does not void your hardware warranty.

Jailbreaking is hacking the device. It is not piracy in and of itself, but it will void your warranty, and Apple will have nothing to do with your device after that.

@DDdarby, please start your own thread. Hijacking an unrelated post, is not helpful.

There is no way to message privately. Since we all just volunteer here and may or may not be online at a specific time, your best bet is to create your own thread and wait for someone to come along. Lawrence will very likely see this shortly. You can create your new thread, and point him to it, by posting a link to it here.
