Apple TV no longer working after iTunes failed restore

I have a 3rd gen Apple TV which stopped working with a blinking light and Apple logo on the TV screen.

I tried an iTunes restore as recommended. iTunes identified the device when connected with a micro USB cord and power on.

Software was successfully downloaded, extracted with a restore in progress message on iTunes.

An error message then said that the restore failed.

The Apple TV no does not work, no Apple logo on the TV and it no longer connects to iTunes so I can't restore it again.

Any suggestions appreciated.

I would take it to an Apple store if possible and have them take a crack at it. It is possible something physically went wrong with your unit. If it is strickly a software issue, the Apple store should be able to restore it for you for no cost.
