External Monitor Compatible with Retina Macbook Pro

Hello,

I am looking for a external monitor for my early 2015 Retina Macbook Pro 13. My old monitor does not offer any usable resolutions when I plug it in via the Mini DisplayPort, so does anyone know of a good monitor that is compatible resolution-wise with a Retina Macbook Pro?

Thank you,

I am using a 2 year old 22” LG analog (VGA) with my MBA getting the same aspect ratio as the MBA. Colors are okay and brightness is good. I wouldn’t want to use it as a professional photographer but it cost just over $100 at Amazon and does the job. I also have a 24” digital Samsung which is much nicer. It ran under $150. Pay attention to what interface it uses (HDMI, VGA etc) because you’ll also need the correct dongle for the computer.
