thunderbolt function between the HD and my MacBook Pro does not work

For about 1,5 year ago we bought a lot of Apple products including LaCie Hd 2TB and Thunderbolt cable.

The thunderbolt function between the HD and my MacBook Pro does not work. I have tried to buy a new problem, but I hade still the same problem- I cannot open the HD from Thunderbolt. S

What can I do?
